Medium Cobalt Dash Platter -Studio Second No.2
A medium sized oval platter with a raised rim and a glossy surface, in my cobalt dash pattern. Designed to sit in the middle of the table, laden with salad or pudding.
Handmade in my Norfolk studio, each platter is rolled, pressed, and then hand painted with layers of slip and oxides, then fired twice in my electric kiln- powered by renewable energy.
Measures approximately 32.5cm long, 25.5cm wide.
This piece is a studio second- it has a slight warp from the second firing to one edge of the rim, and also a small area of about half a centimetre where the clay is uneven underneath the glaze under the rim.
Each platter is made by hand by me, in my studio in Norwich. As such please expect slight variations in slip, oxide and glaze finish.
